Marko Elez resigns from Treasury after racist posts resurface

Marko Elez, a 25-year-old software engineer with DOGE, resigned from the Treasury Department after the Wall Street Journal discovered racist posts on his deleted social media accounts. Elez had accessed all three Bureau of Fiscal Service payment systems. His resignation came days after the initial reporting about DOGE access to critical federal payment infrastructure.
