Federal authorities arrest Garret Miller in a Texas Jan. 6 case
Federal authorities arrested Garret Miller, then 34, of Richardson, Texas, in a Jan. 6 Capitol breach case. The case involved civil disorder, obstruction of an official proceeding, assaulting or impeding officers, interstate threats, entering restricted grounds, disorderly conduct, and impeding passage. NPR records that Miller later pleaded guilty to 11 charges, the other charges were dismissed, he was sentenced on February 22, 2023 to 38 months in prison and 36 months of supervised release, and he later received a full pardon on January 20, 2025.
