JD Vance Inaugurated as 50th Vice President of the United States

JD Vance was sworn in as the 50th Vice President of the United States at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda on Jan. 20, 2025, with Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh administering the oath. As vice president, Vance serves as president of the Senate with the power to cast tiebreaking votes, and assumes the presidency in the event of the president's incapacitation, death, or removal under the 25th Amendment.
