Trump signs DHS funding bill, ending record 76-day partial government shutdown
President Trump signs a clean DHS funding bill into law on Apr. 30, ending the 76-day Department of Homeland Security shutdown - the longest partial shutdown of any federal agency in American history, surpassing the 35-day shutdown of 2018-2019. TSA agents, Secret Service officers, Coast Guard personnel, and immigration judges had worked without pay for 76 days. The deal doesn't include the ICE reform measures Democrats originally demanded.
