AIPAC spends record $14.5 million to defeat Rep. Jamaal Bowman in New York primary

AIPAC's United Democracy Project spent $14.5 million to defeat Rep. Jamaal Bowman in the June 25, 2024, Democratic primary in New York's 16th District, the most any single group had ever spent on a House race. Westchester County Executive George Latimer defeated Bowman 58% to 42%. Combined outside spending from UDP, Democratic Majority for Israel, and FairShake super PAC topped $18 million, making it the most expensive House primary in U.S. history at the time.
