Cantwell Demands Probe Into Noem TSA Video Blaming Democrats for Shutdown

Sen. Maria Cantwell formally demanded a federal investigation on October 15, 2025 into DHS Secretary Kristi Noem's use of TSA airport video screens to broadcast a partisan message blaming Democrats for the government shutdown. Cantwell, ranking member of the Senate Commerce Committee, wrote to the Department of Homeland Security Inspector General and the Office of Special Counsel calling the video an illegal use of government resources for political purposes.
