Trump signs Schedule F executive order 13957

President Trump signed Executive Order 13957 creating Schedule F, a new excepted-service category for federal employees in "policy-determining, policy-making, or policy-advocating" positions. The order stripped competitive-service protections and appeal rights from affected workers. Russ Vought, then OMB Director, estimated up to 50,000 federal positions could be reclassified.
