Jeffrey Clark drafts DOJ letter urging Georgia to overturn 2020 election results
Jeffrey Clark, then-Acting Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Division, drafted a letter to Georgia officials urging them to convene a special legislative session to investigate alleged election fraud and potentially appoint alternative electors. Acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen and Deputy AG Richard Donoghue refused to sign the letter, saying it contained false statements. Clark then sought Trump''s support to be named Acting Attorney General so he could send it himself.
