DOJ admits ICE violated 56 court orders in 69 days

The Department of Justice filed a disclosure revealing that ICE committed 56 violations of court orders in New Jersey over a 69-day period through mid-February 2026. The violations included 17 illegal transfers of detainees after judges ordered them to remain, 12 missed bond hearing deadlines, and one wrongful deportation to Peru. Associate Deputy Attorney General Jordan Fox submitted the findings on February 18, 2026, prompting a federal judge to demand systemic explanations for the pattern of noncompliance.
