Corps of Engineers Narrows WOTUS Jurisdiction Excluding Wetlands

The Army Corps of Engineers issued a revised Waters of the United States rule that significantly narrowed federal Clean Water Act jurisdiction, excluding most isolated wetlands and ephemeral streams from federal protection. The rewrite followed the Supreme Court's 2023 Sackett v. EPA decision and went further than required, removing protections for millions of acres of wetlands previously covered.
