DOJ rescinds no-knock warrant limits and allows political appointees at fundraisers

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche issued a memo on March 2, 2026 rescinding Biden-era restrictions on no-knock warrants, expanding permissible justifications to include risk of evidence destruction. Both rollbacks were announced within days of the third anniversary of Breonna Taylor's killing.
