Federal authorities arrested Ryan Taylor Nichols, then 30, of Longview, Texas, in a Jan. 6 Capitol breach case. The case involved obstruction of an official proceeding and assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers. NPR records that Nichols later pleaded guilty to both charges, was sentenced on May 2, 2024 to 63 months in prison and 36 months of supervised release, and later received a full pardon on January 20, 2025.
