Vance Visits Fort Liberty for Troop Appreciation and Military Readiness Briefing

Vice President JD Vance visited Fort Liberty in North Carolina on May 15, 2025, for troop appreciation events and a military readiness briefing. Fort Liberty is the Army's largest installation and home of the XVIII Airborne Corps and 82nd Airborne Division; the Trump administration had issued an executive order directing that the installation revert to its previous name, Fort Bragg, reversing the 2023 renaming by the Naming Commission.
