Cuban Forces Kill Four on Florida-Registered Speedboat Near Havana

Cuban border guard forces fired on a Florida-registered speedboat approximately one nautical mile northeast of El Pino channel off Cuba's north coast on February 25, 2026, killing four people including at least one US citizen and wounding six others who were arrested. Cuba's Interior Ministry said the ten armed individuals on board intended to carry out a terrorist infiltration, and that the speedboat crew opened fire first on Cuban personnel.
