Federal authorities arrested Matthew Carl Mazzocco, then 37, of San Antonio, Texas, in a Jan. 6 Capitol breach case. The case involved entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly conduct, violent entry, and parading or picketing in a Capitol building. NPR records that Mazzocco later pleaded guilty to parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building, the other charges were dismissed, he was sentenced on October 4, 2021 to 45 days in prison, and he later received a full pardon on January 20, 2025.
