Charlie Trie pleads guilty in Democratic fundraising case

On May 21, 1999, Democratic fundraiser Yah Lin “Charlie” Trie pleaded guilty to violating campaign-finance laws by making political contributions in others’ names and causing false statements to be filed with the FEC during the 1996 campaign cycle.
