Tarrant County Adopts 4R-1D Precinct Map Drawn by Adam Kincaid

The Tarrant County Commissioners Court voted 3-2 to adopt a new precinct map drawn by NRRT Executive Director Adam Kincaid, redrawing commissioner districts mid-decade to favor Republicans. Commissioner Matt Krause stated on the record that the intention is to go from 3R-2D to 4R-1D. The map packed Black and Latino voters into a single district, drawing immediate Voting Rights Act challenges.
