Trump orders strip federal LGBTQ+ protections
President Trump signed a series of executive orders eliminating or restricting federal recognition of LGBTQ+ identities, including orders directing agencies to recognize only two biological sexes, removing gender identity protections from federal employment anti-discrimination policies, and ending recognition of same-sex partnerships in federal benefit programs.
