SEC launches crypto task force under Hester Peirce

On Jan. 21, 2025, the Securities and Exchange Commission launched a crypto task force led by Commissioner Hester Peirce. The agency said the group would help develop a clear regulatory framework for crypto assets and move policy toward rulemaking instead of case-by-case enforcement.
