DOJ announces dedicated domestic terrorism unit as ACLU prepares First Amendment challenges

Concurrent with the 2026 counterterrorism strategy release, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced a dedicated DOJ domestic terrorism unit focused on investigating violent left-wing extremist networks.
