Trump Signs "Ensuring American Space Superiority" EO: Moon by 2028, Nuclear Reactors by 2030

President Trump signed the "Ensuring American Space Superiority" executive order directing NASA to return astronauts to the Moon by 2028, establish initial elements of a permanent lunar outpost by 2030, and deploy nuclear power reactors on the lunar surface and in orbit. The order also revoked the National Space Council Trump had established in his first term, targeted $50 billion in new private space investment by 2028, and accelerated development of the "Golden Dome" missile defense prototype.
