Hennepin County opens criminal probe of Bovino over Minneapolis ICE operations
Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty announced a criminal investigation into Border Patrol Commander-at-Large Gregory Bovino and more than a dozen other federal agents over 17 incidents during Operation Metro Surge, including the January 7 killing of Renée Good and the January 21 chemical-agent deployment in a Minneapolis park. The probe, called the Transparency and Accountability Project, invited public submissions of video evidence. Bovino had already been removed from his leading role in Minnesota after CBP agents fatally shot nurse Alex Pretti on January 24.
