DOJ sues D.C. Bar to block Jeffrey Clark disbarment and Ed Martin discipline

The Department of Justice filed a federal lawsuit against the D.C. Office of Disciplinary Counsel, the D.C. Board on Professional Responsibility, the D.C. Court of Appeals, and the District of Columbia to halt disbarment proceedings against Jeffrey Clark and discipline of pardon attorney Ed Martin. The DOJ argued the proceedings improperly targeted attorneys for "internal Executive Branch deliberations" and constituted weaponized discipline against Trump administration officials.
