Obama campaign pays $375,000 FEC fine for 2008 reporting violations

On Jan. 4, 2013, the Federal Election Commission reported that Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign agreed to pay $375,000 for campaign-finance reporting violations. The civil settlement covered late and missing notices for large contributions during the 2008 presidential campaign.
