Vance Chairs Immigration Enforcement Roundtable With ICE and Arizona Officials

Vice President JD Vance chaired an immigration enforcement roundtable with Arizona border officials and ICE leadership in Phoenix on Aug. 1, 2025. The meeting reviewed deportation statistics and state-federal coordination; Arizona had signed a memorandum of agreement with ICE authorizing state law enforcement officers to make immigration arrests under federal supervision, a model the administration was advancing in other border states.
