Russia feeds Iran satellite imagery of U.S. troop and ship locations

U.S. intelligence officials confirmed to The Washington Post and NBC News that Russia was providing Iran with satellite imagery identifying the locations of American warships and aircraft in the Middle East, marking the first direct participation by a major U.S. adversary in the Iran war. Russian satellites had conducted dozens of detailed surveys of military sites across the region since the conflict began February 28. Iran, lacking an independent surveillance constellation capable of tracking mobile targets, relied on Russian data to target U.S. forces and Israeli infrastructure.
