Obama signs Every Student Succeeds Act preserving 21st CCLC

President Barack Obama signed the Every Student Succeeds Act (Public Law 114-95), the eighth reauthorization of the ESEA. ESSA retained 21st Century Community Learning Centers under Title IV Part B with state administration unchanged from NCLB. The law also rolled most K-12 program decisions back to states, ending federal accountability mandates from NCLB while preserving Title I and Title IV-B as line items appropriated by Congress.
