GOP leaders brace for mass Republican defections as Johnson schedules the Epstein vote

CNN reported on Nov. 13, 2025 that House Republican leaders were bracing for a significant number of their members to defy President Trump and vote to release the Epstein files. The same day, Speaker Mike Johnson dropped his resistance and said he would put the bill on the floor the following week.
