Braidwood Management Files ACA Preventive Care Lawsuit

Steven Hotze and his Houston company Braidwood Management filed suit in the Northern District of Texas challenging the ACA Section 2713 requirement to cover PrEP for HIV prevention at no cost. Hotze argued covering PrEP violated his company's religious exercise under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act and that the USPSTF mandate was unconstitutional because task force members were appointed without Senate confirmation. Judge Reed O'Connor was assigned to the case.
