Joseph John Marak is sentenced for filing a false Arizona voter-registration form

U.S. District Judge Susan M. Brnovich sentenced Joseph John Marak to 30 months of supervised probation and a $2,400 fine. The U.S. Attorney's Office for Arizona said Marak pleaded guilty to submitting a materially false voter-registration application after falsely certifying that he was not a convicted felon. Prosecutors said the false registration let Marak vote in six federal elections from 2016 through 2020. The sentence put the case in federal court records instead of leaving it as a campaign talking point about unnamed voter fraud.
