Rep. Andy Ogles Faces FBI Probe for Fabricating $320,000 Campaign Loan

The FBI opened a criminal investigation into Representative Andy Ogles of Tennessee for allegedly fabricating a $320,000 personal loan on Federal Election Commission disclosure forms. Ogles reported the loan as a campaign contribution in his 2022 congressional race, but investigators found no evidence the money ever existed. The FEC had already referred the matter to the Justice Department after finding probable cause for a civil violation.
