Landry suspends Louisiana House primaries to redraw maps

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry issues an executive order suspending the state's May 16 U.S. House primaries while absentee voting is already underway. The suspension allows the legislature to redraw maps targeting Black majority districts. Landry states: \"Allowing elections to proceed under an unconstitutional map would undermine the integrity of our system and violate the rights of our voters.\"
