SECURE 2.0 Act Signed into Law

President Biden signs SECURE 2.0 Act as Division T of the Consolidated Appropriations Act 2023 (HR 2617). Contains 92 provisions reforming retirement savings across 2023–2033, including: raising RMD age from 72 to 73 (then 75 in 2033), enhanced catch-up contributions for ages 60–63, mandatory auto-enrollment in new 401(k)/403(b) plans, employer ability to match student loan payments as retirement contributions, expanded 529-to-Roth IRA rollovers, and emergency savings accounts linked to retirement plans.
