Trump shuts down CBP One on Inauguration Day cancelling 270,000 pending appointments

Within hours of being sworn in, President Trump signs an executive order ending CBP One's asylum scheduling function. By 1:00 PM ET, the app notifies asylum seekers that their appointments are cancelled. Migrants who had 5:00 AM appointments on Inauguration Day are allowed to proceed, but the rest are turned away. Approximately 270,000 pending appointments are cancelled with no alternative process announced. Some migrants are mid-transit when the cancellations hit.
