Trump Pardons Camberos Siblings and Commutes Jacob Deutsch's Sentence for Fraud Convictions

President Trump on January 15, 2026 pardoned Andres and Adriana Camberos, siblings convicted of eight felony counts each for wire and mail fraud — a scheme that deceptively bought wholesale grocery and consumer goods at steep discounts (posing as exporters or prison suppliers) then resold them at profit in the US market. Trump also commuted the sentence of Jacob Deutsch, convicted of Medicare fraud. The pardons wiped out restitution obligations worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Adriana Camberos had already benefited from a Trump commutation in 2021 for a prior counterfeiting fraud conviction.
