Respect for Marriage Act Signed into Law

President Biden signs the Respect for Marriage Act (HR 8404), repealing the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and requiring the federal government and all states to recognize same-sex and interracial marriages. Passed with bipartisan support (12 Republican senators, 39 Republican House members).
