Golden becomes the only House member to split his Trump impeachment vote

During the first impeachment of President Trump, Rep. Jared Golden voted for the abuse-of-power article and against the obstruction-of-Congress article, the only House member to divide his vote. He said the obstruction charge should have gone through the courts first. The split-ticket moment cemented Golden's brand as a Democrat willing to break with his party in a Trump-leaning district.
