House Iran war powers resolution fails on historic 212-212 tie

The House voted 212-212 on a War Powers Resolution directing President Trump to end military operations against Iran, the closest Congress came to restraining the president''s war authority. Three Republicans -- Thomas Massie (KY), Tom Barret (MI), and Brian Fitzpatrick (PA) -- voted with Democrats, while Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME) voted no. Under House rules, a tie vote means the measure fails.
