Trump Orders FAR Council to Strip Diversity Requirements from Federal Contracts

President Trump signed an executive order directing the Federal Acquisition Regulatory Council to eliminate all diversity, equity, and inclusion requirements from federal procurement rules. The order required agencies to remove DEI criteria from contract awards, grant conditions, and vendor evaluations within 90 days. It extended anti-DEI mandates across the full $700 billion annual federal contracting enterprise.
