US economy adds record 6.7 million jobs in Biden first year fastest job growth since World War II

By June 2021, the US economy has added over 3 million jobs in Biden's first four months, on pace for the strongest jobs recovery from any recession in US history. Over the full first year of 2021, the US adds 6.7 million jobs, the most in a single year since records began. The unemployment rate falls from 6.4% in January 2021 to 3.9% by December 2021. The recovery is fueled in large part by the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, including $1,400 stimulus checks, expanded unemployment benefits, and vaccine distribution funding. Biden calls it proof that "trickle-down economics has never worked" and that investing in working people produces the best economic growth.
