CMS begins Medicare drug price negotiations with manufacturers of the first 10 selected drugs

CMS announces the first 10 drugs selected for Medicare price negotiation under the IRA: Eliquis, Jardiance, Xarelto, Januvia, Farxiga, Entresto, Enbrel, Imbruvica, Stelara, and Fiasp/NovoLog insulins. Negotiations with manufacturers begin, with prices to take effect January 2026. Projected to save Medicare $6B/year and reduce beneficiary out-of-pocket costs by 38–79%.
