White House Situation Room Meeting with Rep. Boebert; Discharge Petition Reaches 218

Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche met with Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) at the White House Situation Room in an attempt to persuade her to withdraw her name from the Epstein discharge petition. CNN first reported the meeting. Boebert kept her name on the petition. The same day, Rep. Adelita Grijalva (D-AZ) was sworn in after a seven-week delay orchestrated by Speaker Mike Johnson and immediately signed the petition as the 218th and decisive signatory. The signature list locked automatically at 218, triggering the formal discharge procedure.
