The same week, Hunter Biden's plea deal on misdemeanor tax charges and a gun diversion agreement collapses in federal court when Judge Maryellen Noreika refuses to accept it, questioning whether the gun charge immunity was a proper diversion. Biden is later appointed special counsel to take over the case.
