Bessent departs Soros Fund Management, later launches Bessent Capital

Bessent leaves Soros Fund Management after nearly a decade as head of its London office. He subsequently launches Bessent Capital, a hedge fund, before returning to Soros in 2011 as Chief Investment Officer. His departure from the London office marks the end of his first major institutional posting.
