Court of International Trade strikes down the IEEPA tariffs
A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of International Trade ruled that IEEPA does not authorize the Liberation Day and trafficking tariffs and that the president exceeded his statutory authority. The court enjoined the tariffs, the first judicial rejection of the policy. The government appealed to the Federal Circuit.
