Trump claims baseball bat image targeting DA Bragg, warns of death and destruction

Former President Trump posted a Truth Social image of himself holding a baseball bat next to a photo of Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, the prosecutor investigating Trump's hush money payments to Stormy Daniels. The same day, Trump warned in a separate Truth Social post of "potential death & destruction" if he were charged. Hours later, a threatening letter containing nonhazardous white powder was sent to Bragg's office. Trump's attorney called the baseball bat post "ill-advised." Judge Juan Merchan warned Trump about his social media conduct. The FBI and NYPD both received threats against Bragg from Trump supporters. Prosecutors at Trump's April arraignment cited these posts as examples of "escalating" intimidation.
