Shots Fired at Border Patrol Agents During Chicago Little Village Immigration Raid

On Nov. 8, 2025, DHS claimed shots were fired at Border Patrol agents near 26th and Kedzie in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood during immigration enforcement. A man in a black Jeep fired at agents and fled; chemical agents were deployed against a gathered crowd. No agents were struck. One suspect—a Mexican national with prior weapons convictions—was later arrested. Nine people total were taken into federal custody, including eight U.S. citizens.
