Bessent returns to Soros Fund Management as chief investment officer
Bessent rejoins Soros Fund Management as Chief Investment Officer, overseeing the Soros family's $30 billion family office. In this role he executes the Abenomics yen short, producing roughly $3.5 billion in profits and earning him the Wall Street Journal nickname "The Man Who Broke the Bank of Japan." He holds the CIO position until 2015 when he leaves to found Key Square Capital Management.
