Vance tours border-security training facilities at Lackland Air Force Base

Vice President JD Vance visited Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas on Nov. 8, 2025, to meet with troops and tour facilities used to train CBP and Border Patrol personnel under the administration's expanded border security mission. Lackland is the primary basic training installation for all Air Force enlisted personnel and hosts joint programs for homeland security missions under Operation Southern Shield.
