Gabbard admits attending FBI seizure of Georgia 2020 ballots at Trump's request

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard confirmed on February 2, 2026, that Trump had asked her to attend the FBI's January 28 search of the Fulton County Elections Hub, during which agents seized more than 650 boxes of 2020 election ballots. Gabbard cited statutory authority over election security intelligence, but an NPR review found the FBI affidavit contained no evidence of foreign interference. Trump later claimed at the National Prayer Breakfast that Attorney General Pam Bondi had insisted Gabbard attend.
